Brian Wendler

With almost 40 years of professional experience in business valuation, mergers and acquisitions, analysis and structuring of traditional and non-traditional private placement investments, Brian Wendler is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA/ABV), and has numerous other designations:

  • Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA-BV/Intangible Assets) & Healthcare
  • Accredited in Business Appraisal Review (ABAR)
  • Certified Merger & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA)
  • Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CMEA)
  • Master Certified Business Counselor (MCBC) (designated by the Institute of Certified Business Counselors)
  • Board Certified Broker (BCB) (issued by the Texas Association of Business Brokers)

 

ASA (with Certificates in valuation of Intangible Assets & Healthcare), ABAR, CMEA, and is also a CMAA. In 1994, he founded one of the largest valuation firms of its kind, Ross, Wendler & Stein which later became known as RWS. RWS was the captive valuation firm for Business Brokers Network the largest business broker organization at that time. From 2008-2009, he was President of the Institute of Certified Business Counselors (ICBC), the oldest business brokerage organization in the U.S. He was also formerly on the advisory board of Murphy Business & Financial Corporation, the largest business brokerage franchisor in the U.S., servicing 27 states and Canada with 238 agents. Unlike many appraisers, Brian has been providing M&A broker services through an affiliated M&A firm, National Transaction Advisors, Inc., since 2002.

Brian has participated as an instructor at national and state business broker conferences and has trained and provided valuation, mergers & acquisitions, transaction, and deal structuring advisory services on an on-going basis to over 10,000 business intermediaries, SBA lenders, and professionals represented by all fifty states. His experience extends across a wide variety of industries and company sizes including, but not limited to, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, construction, hi-tech, retail, as well as in professional practices, financial services, and in hospital-based and stand-alone medical practices and specialties. He has been involved in over 30,000 business valuations and machinery & equipment appraisals, and assisted in over 15,000 transactions. He previously served as President of the Estate Planning Council of North Texas.

Additionally, Brian served on the Education Committee of the International Society of Business Appraisers (ISBA), was on the Quality Review Board for Business Certified Appraisers (BCA), and just finished serving a 2nd term as President of the Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB). Additionally, Brian serves on both the National & Dallas Chapter Boards of the AM&AA. He also holds General Securities, Financial & Operations Principal Licenses, as well as a Texas Real Estate Broker License.
